Rupali goes to office from her house via a specific route. Initially, she travels 17 km towards the north, then turns right towards the east and travels 15 km. From here, she again takes a right turn and travels 17 km. Now, she turns left and travels 7 km and finally reaches her office. In which direction and how many km away (considering the shortest distance) is she from her house? (All turns are 90° turns only)

Solution:

According to the question, the path she travelled can be depicted as-Thus, she is in east direction from her house and is at a distance of (15 km + 7 km) = 22 kmHence, 'option 4' is the correct answer.
