PSTET (Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test) is considered one of the most prestigious examinations, conducted by SCERT under the Government of Punjab. The objective of this exam is to select the right candidate for the teaching profession. The PSTET is valid for the schools owned and managed by the Punjab State Government/Local Bodies and aided school.
There are two papers for PSTET:
1. Paper I for the aspirants who are eligible to teach classes I to V.
2. Paper II for the aspirants who are eligible to teach classes VI to VIII.
Multiple choice questions (MCQs) are asked in the PSTET exam, each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one will be correct. The most advantageous thing about the exam is that there will be no negative marking. A total of 150 questions are asked in both the exams and a student needs 60% or more in the exam to get PSTET passed.
