IBPS Clerk Exam 2022

IBPS Clerical Cadre exam is conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) every year for the recruitment of clerk posts in all over the country. All public sector banks use CRP as a base to fill the vacancies for this post. IBPS is going to conduct the Clerical exam for the 12th year for FY 2022-23 and hence named IBPS Clerk CRP XII. The Clerk exam is conducted on two levels- the pre exam and the mains. Students qualifying in both these exams are thus selected for the post.

IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2022:

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection will be closing the IBPS Clerk online application window by the end of today i.e. 21st July 2022 therefore candidates who are filling the form today must go through the IBPS Clerk eligibility criteria 2022. If a candidate who didn’t fit into the eligibility criteria applies for a clerical cadre will face rejection at a later stage. The IBPS Clerk eligibility criteria cover educational qualification and the age limit as well as age relaxation.

IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2022: Educational Qualification

• Candidates must possess a graduation degree from a university by the Government of India.
• Proficiency in the Official Language of the state is preferable.

IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2022: Nationality

A candidate must be either:
• A Citizen of India
• A Citizen of Nepal
• A Citizen of Bhutan
• A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India
• A Person of Indian Origin who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, and Malawi with the intention of permanently settling in India

IBPS Clerk 2022 Eligibility- Educational Qualification

1. IBPS Clerk Degree Eligibility:
In order to pass IBPS Clerk eligibility criteria, a candidate should have a degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a Government of India recognized college/ university, as of January 2022. Candidates having any equivalent qualification that is recognized by the Central Government are also eligible to apply.

2. Other Requirements:
Computer Literacy is a must. Candidates must possess operating as well as working knowledge of the Computer System. For this, candidates should have followed - a. Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate in Computer Operations/ Language: Should have studied Computer/ Information Technology as one of the subjects in High School/ Institute/ College.

3. Proficiency in Local Language:
Candidates should also be proficient in the language of the state to which they are applying. This means that the candidates should know how to read, write and speak the official language of the state of union territory from which they are applying.

4. In cases where the college/ university provides CGPA or OGPA, candidates need to convert the same into the percentage, up to 2 places of decimal, and accordingly fill it in the application form.

5. The selected candidates are also required to produce a certificate, mentioning the university norms for the grade to percentage conversion as well as the percentage of marks that the student has secured, and it should be signed by an appropriate authority.

6. For candidates from colleges/ universities where a web certificate is released or the result is published online, the candidates must produce a relevant document, signed by the appropriate authority, in original, with clear mention of the candidate’s date of passing.

7. The candidate should indicate the percentage obtained in Graduation calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online application. Where CGPA / OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into percentage and indicated in the online application. The candidate will have to produce a certificate issued by the appropriate authority inter alia stating that the norms of the University regarding conversion of grade into the percentage of marks scored by the candidate in terms of norms.

8. Ex-servicemen who do not possess the above civil examination qualifications should be matriculated. Ex-servicemen who have obtained the Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force after having completed not less than 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union as of January 2022. Such certificates should be dated before January 2022.
